How your branding and sales are connected
Before investing in a brand identity design, you might wonder exactly why it's a worthwhile thing to do and how you’re gonna see a return on that investment.
When you invest in a brand design, it shouldn't just be about looking pretty (although as a designer, I can’t deny it’s the most exciting part! 💁🏻♀️)
Before you construct the visual identity for your brand, you should have a solid strategy in place. What might that look like though?
Brand strategy will have you nailing down the following:
✅ Your vision
✅ Your mission
✅ Your brand values
✅ Your why
✅ Your ideal customer (who they are, what they’re into, where they hang out)
Once you know these things, the visual identity is then designed to reflect this – ensuring that whatever is designed will be in alignment with your overall business goals.
From the graphic above you can then see how this has a knock-on effect to your sales - your branding links directly into your customers perception of you, and if that perception is a positive one, this then leads to trust and sales.
When it’s slap-dash and not done by a professional, this shows. The clients who like to work with professionals will be put-off.
